Project Description
Brayford Pool Campus Landscape Masterplan
Competition winning Landscape Masterplan for a new 20 hectare University campus. The contemporary design draws inspiration from the Lincolnshire landscape, which is characterised by fenlands cut by a latticework of straight ditches abutting a limestone escarpment. This linear quality coupled with the contrast between flatlands and sharp escarpments has inspired the design of the central green space, which is one of sculpted earth formations, a limestone gabion wall and a lake, bridged by a path on the visual axis to the historic Cathedral and Castle in the distance. River Square is a dynamic public space with a bridge linking the campus to the town.
