Project Description

Electra Park is an industrial park on the banks of Bow Creek, West Ham. It is part of a jig-saw of green spaces which link together via the Olympic Park and extend to the Lea Valley Regional Park. Silver clad units flank a central boulevard leading to a contemporary piazza on the old quay-side.  Sealed gravel paving cut by a blue glass line, a silver granite square and a bench in Orsogrill, create an abstract geometry inspired by the line of the original dock wall, which was revealed during excavations. Gabion walls retain sweeping curves of ornamental grasses studded with multi-stem Birch and Prunus serrula.  Birch planted in galvanised planters are scattered across the piazza.
